Hi Y’all!

I’m Randa. Named after my daddy, Randy, and pronounced (RAN-DUH). I am a wife, a mom, a good friend, a speech therapist, and a lactation consultant all rolled into one joyful and comical package and marked with a whole alphabet of letters tacked behind my signature! I’m personable and informal and love wearing fun socks.

I started Firefly Pediatric Therapies, LLC because I wanted create a therapy clinic with a personal and welcoming atmosphere for the entire family. My desire is to come alongside a family working with a child who needs specialized interventions, whether that is feeding, lactation support, language interventions, or speech development. I strive to make Firefly Pediatric Therapies, LLC a joyful and playful space where the families collaborate with me and feel supported throughout the journey. I connect with my clients. I check in on my families. I truly get invested in each child I work with because, as a mom, that is what I would want for my kids.

After living in Texas for over 20 years, my husband’s job transitioned us to the Denver metro area in 2020 with expectations of mountain adventures and more time outdoors in the sunshine. Our two boys, Justice and Levi, have thrived with Colorado life through skiing, biking, hiking, or just playing street hockey with the neighbors. We have settled in and engage our community through our school, local church, and serving alongside Denver Rescue Mission. When I am not in the clinic, you can find me leading a Bible study, playing board games with my favorite little people who live under my roof, or walking the local shops searching for funky and unique treasures!

Fun Facts

If I could have any talent in the world, I would choose professional chef! I make my poor husband sit through all the cooking shows with me. (And I do mean ALL: Top Chef, Next Level Chef, MasterChef, Zumbo’s Just Desserts.) And after showing him delightful items that culinary geniuses whip up in a thirty-minute episode, I saunter into the kitchen with great confidence and (typically) burn whatever it is I attempt. At our house, new recipe night equates to “Where shall we order from?” It takes special skills to catch boiled eggs on fire….and I am just that girl!

My big, natural curly, Texas size hair is going to be in a messy bun when you meet me! I try so hard to leave it down and flowing, but Y’all….this hair is HOT! And in my way! It’s going up in a quick second so I can be undistracted in my playtime with you!

Coffee. (Need I say more?) You may have therapy with me in the early morning hours or late afternoon and there is a 99% chance I will have a Yeti of coffee in my hand. Plain or decorated, hot or cold, Starbuck’s or Keurig….There will be coffee. My new favorite place is a local joint called DIRT COFFEE, Brewed on the Spectrum. I am always open to grabbing coffee with anyone who asks! I have a Texas sized heart that I can’t wait to share with all my new friends here in Colorado.

I’m Kristine. I am thrilled to be working at Firefly! I am a wife, mom, workout and outdoor enthusiast, and Occupational Therapist (OT).

I have worked as an OT since 2010. I was born and raised in Texas and attended Texas Tech University for both undergraduate and graduate school. As soon as I finished OT school, my husband and I decided to move near the mountains in Colorado and enjoy the Denver sunshine and all the outdoor activities that the mountains offer. We have 3 wonderful kiddos and a dog named Percy.

I truly love working as a pediatric OT- I love the energy children bring and I love the way children keep me on my toes and challenge me to bring creative ways to make sessions fun so they don’t even know they are “working”! I am here for the child, the families and the teachers. I want to help children progress in their development milestones while also having fun!

Fun Facts

My favorite guilty pleasure foods are chocolate chip cookies and queso!

I love to be active and outside in the sunshine; some of my favorite activities outside include: running, biking, hiking, gardening, playing yard games with my family, and kicking or throwing balls with my kids.

I can still break out a back handspring when I’m feeling good!
